Who We Are

Wheeler & Gray Consulting Engineers has a rich history that dates back to 1946. Founded by William "Bill" Wheeler and George Gray, the company has been providing high-quality engineering consulting services to the public and private sectors for over sixty-eight years. Our team has been instrumental in designing and delivering some of the most iconic projects in Southern California, including the original engineering for Disneyland, renovations of the Rose Bowl, and work at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Services We Offer

At Wheeler & Gray, we specialize in providing a full range of services from planning to design and through project completion. Our services include:

• Civil Engineering: We provide feasibility studies, engineering and design, cost estimating, specification writing, construction support, and administration services for a wide range of projects, including infrastructure development, transportation systems, and facilities for various industries.
• Structural Engineering: We offer prime consulting services for projects that involve primarily civil and structural works, such as parking and transit facilities and seismic rehabilitation. We also provide procurement and management for survey and geo-technical services, including preparation of scope of services, proposal review, and management of work in progress.

Our clientele is diverse and long-standing, with the majority of our business coming from repeat and referral clients. Our clients include city and county public works departments, redevelopment agencies, parks and recreation departments, school and transit districts, and all branches of the U.S. military. What We Do

• Drainage and Flood Control: We provide storm water management and quality control, utilities infrastructure master planning and design, street and road design, grading site planning and design, and MS4 permit compliance.
• Structural Engineering Services: We offer design and construction documents, construction support, seismic investigations, seismic upgrade and rehabilitation of historic buildings, and forensic engineering research and technical service support.
• Other Services: We also provide feasibility studies, cost estimating, specification writing, and administration services.
