Gulf South Engineering & Testing (Gulf South) is a woman-owned geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing and inspection company established in 2011. Headquartered in Kenner, Louisiana, with an additional office in Gonzales, Louisiana, Gulf South brings a depth of collective experience to the table. Our principals and key employees boast over 60 years of combined work experience and a proven track record spanning thousands of projects.

These services encompass the examination and testing of fill materials and bases, vibration monitoring, pre- and post-construction inspections, concrete testing and concrete curing methods, and rigorous soil testing conducted both in the field and in our state-of-the-art laboratory.

Our expertise extends to asphalt testing, pile (driven and augercast) and shaft installation monitoring, load testing of piles and shafts, earthwork and proof roll inspection, and thorough steel inspection.

Gulf South operates a USACE-validated laboratory staffed by certified technicians. Our laboratory is accredited by both AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials) and CCRL (Certified Concrete Reference Laboratory), ensuring that our testing methodologies meet the highest industry standards. This accreditation underscores our commitment to delivering precise and reliable results.

Within our laboratory, we conduct a comprehensive range of tests, adhering to ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) procedures and other recognized standards. Our services include soil classification and strength testing, concrete testing, determination of organic content, pH analysis, soil resistivity testing, and the evaluation of moisture/density relationships through Proctor tests.
