What is the Louisville Regional Science & Engineering Fair (LRSEF)?
The Louisville Regional Science & Engineering Fair (LRSEF) is an annual event that fosters and celebrates the creativity and innovation of young minds in science and engineering. Open to students in grades 6-12 from across Kentucky, the fair provides a platform for showcasing projects, receiving valuable feedback from industry professionals, and competing for awards.
Our Mission
The mission of LRSEF is to:
- Awaken an interest in science and engineering among youth.
- Promote scientific and engineering skills and knowledge.
- Recognize and celebrate the achievements of young scientists and engineers.
What We Do
The LRSEF offers:
- Project Submission & Judging: Students can submit projects in 22 different categories, receiving feedback from experienced judges.
- Awards & Recognition: Top winners are awarded trophies, cash prizes, and the opportunity to compete at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).
- Community Outreach: We host workshops, mentoring programs, and outreach events to encourage student participation.
- Networking Opportunities: Students connect with potential mentors, industry professionals, and university representatives.
