From its humble beginnings as a local tool shop in East-Central Indiana, we have grown into a vertically integrated machine builder and system integrator that offers a wide range of products and services to support the manufacturing industry.

Our Story

Our story began in the 1950s when our company supported the local manufacturing industry in East-Central Indiana. Over the years, many of the large manufacturing companies that were present in the area closed down or relocated. In response to this change, our company had to reinvent itself to remain relevant in the industry. This led to our transformation into a provider of North-American manufacturing solutions with customers in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

Our Capabilities

At Ken-Bar Tool & Engineering Inc., we offer a wide range of capabilities that enable us to support our customers in various industries. Our expertise includes:

• Machining and Fabrication: We have extensive machining capabilities to support your prototype or small volume production needs. Our equipment includes CNC mills and lathes, as well as various forms of grinding.
• Design: We use SOLIDWORKS as our primary CAD software, along with AutoCAD capabilities and decades of experience in design and modeling. We offer custom design services, manufacturing drawings, and product design.
• CMM Measurements: Our Zeiss CMM has an impressive 108" x 46" x 34" measurement volume and is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017.
• Reverse Engineering: As a machine builder with experience in manufacturing processes, we understand how to solve problems and provide efficient solutions.
• Equipment Upgrades: We not only design and build new equipment but also help with refurbishing and upgrading existing equipment.
• 3D Printing: Our 3D printer is available to print customer-designed parts, and we can print various materials such as ABS, ASA, and Nylon.
• Tooling and Fixtures: We design and build custom tooling and fixtures to support our customers' manufacturing needs.
