Founded by Byron Funnell, a mechanical engineer with a degree from Purdue University, The CADMaker is a home-based sole-proprietor business that prides itself on its ability to adapt to the ever-changing landscape of CAD software.

Our Story

The CADMaker began as a training and customization business, focusing on Autodesk's AutoCAD software. As customer needs evolved, the business shifted its focus to design and documentation services. With the advancement of CAD software, The CADMaker transitioned to 3D modeling using Autodesk's Mechanical Desktop, allowing for parametric design and changes that reduced design time and increased design awareness. As software continued to evolve, Mechanical Desktop was replaced by Autodesk's flagship product, Inventor.

We typically use Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Showcase; Adobe tools including Acrobat Pro and Photoshop; MS Office products including Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint; and Snagit for screen captures as needed.
