Founded in 2001, our mission is to further technological advancements in the science of autonomous underwater exploration. Our team of expert engineers, machinists, and fabricators work together to bring cutting-edge solutions to a wide range of underwater applications.

Our Services

At MASE Inc., we specialize in the design, development, and testing of autonomous underwater vehicles and their associated technologies. Our services include:

• Design and Development: We provide expert services for designing and developing autonomous underwater vehicles, including the development of software and hardware components.
• Testing and Testing: Our state-of-the-art research lab is equipped with our own machine shop, featuring a full-size lathe, Bridgeport with 3-axis table, grinders, sanders, and a portable test tank. This allows us to conduct our own testing and development, from the idea stage to the final product.
• Fabrication: We have an in-house fabrication facility, where we can fabricate and assemble components, including tubular structures, electronics, and manipulators.
• Testing and Integration: We provide testing and integration services for autonomous underwater vehicles, including integration of sensors, control systems, and other components.

Our Projects

One of our flagship projects is the Semi-Autonomous Underwater Vehicle for Intervention Missions (SAUVIM). This project aims to develop a semi-autonomous underwater vehicle capable of conducting intervention missions, such as underwater plug/unplug, construction & repair, cable streaming, mine hunting, and munitions retrieval.

About Us

MASE Inc. was founded in 2001 to support the Autonomous Systems Laboratory of the University of Hawaii Mechanical Engineering Department. Our staff includes mechanical/electrical engineers, machinists/fabricators, and other experts, allowing us to take development from the idea stage all the way through fabrication in-house.
