Our History

Horrocks Engineers was founded by Gilbert and Lois Horrocks in American Fork, Utah in 1968. Initially, our projects focused on water resources and construction management as business expanded steadily. Over the years, we have grown from a small company to a full-service engineering firm with over 900 employees in 27 locations throughout the western United States.

Our history is marked by significant milestones, including the completion of our first I-15 study and bridge project with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) in the 1980s, expanding our services to include transportation in the 1990s, and growing to nearly 400 employees in 14 offices throughout the western United States by the 2010s.

In 2018, we celebrated our 50th anniversary and continue to grow, partner with the Trilon Family of Companies, and appoint Bryan Foote as President. Today, we remain committed to our core values and continue to deliver exceptional infrastructure solutions that improve quality of life for communities across the western United States.
